Exodus Bitcoin Wallet Review

Exodus is a cryptocurrency wallet that operates like other software. It’s user-friendly and gives people access to a wide variety of coins. It’s not as safe as a Trezor or Keepkey, but is a great wallet, especially because of its Exchange feature.

How to use Exodus.

When you first install Exodus, you’ll be shown a 12-word recovery code. Store this in a safe place (or memorize it), as you’ll need it to recover your Exodus. You can recover your Exodus wallet in the event the device you have Exodus installed on is lost or stolen.

Then you’ll create a password, and you’re ready to sign in.

Once inside Exodus, you’ll find a lovely interface and have immediate access to your portfolio of coin’s as well as their market value.

Exodus offers most of the major altcoins.

You can your Exodus for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and altcoins like SALT, BAT, and Zcash.

How to receive Bitcoin on Exodus.

Go to the tab marked Wallet. You’ll see two buttons – one marked Sent and another Receive.

Click on Receive, and you’ll see your wallet address.

How to exchange cryptocurrency on Exodus.

The best feature of Exodus is that you can easily exchange cryptocurrencies using ShapeShift.

ShapeShift is a crypto currency exchange. Rather than trade dollars for Euros, you trade Bitcoin for altcoins.

Let’s say you want to diversify your cryto portfolio, or want to buy another coin for whatever reason.

Click on the Exchange tab, and you’ll see that you can trade one crypto for another. (Keep in mind these transactions have fees associated with them. Reckless crytpo newbies don’t factor in the fees shape shifting requires.)

  • And while I’m not giving YOU legal advice, I personally treat each ShapeShift as a taxable event. That is, if I exchange Bitcoin for Zcash, then I’ve sold my Bitcoin and thus must pay the appropriate capital gains taxes.

 

Exodus now offers ZCash.

As with Bitcoin, you click on the Receive icon to get your Zcash wallet address. For example, Cernovich’s Zcash wallet is

You can use ShapeShift to trade one altcoin for another, like Zcash.

 

Is Exodus’ Exchange feature more expensive than using ShapeShift Directly?

Some have noticed that Exodus’ Exchange feature has higher fees than on ShapeShift.

Before making an exchange, check the fees for yourself on ShapeShift.

Exodus v. Trezor or KeepKey

Bitcoin is like physical gold, if you lose it, it’s gone. People with substantial crypto assets keep them spread out over several devices to mitigate the loss of any one wallet.

The best hardware wallets are Trezor, KeepKey, and Ledger.

If you’re keeping large amounts of money on any wallet, you should keep it “sterile,” that is, only use the device for a crypto transaction, and always use a VPN.

A lot of people will send Bitcoin to Exodus, use the Exchange feature to buy another currency, and then send that currency back to a hardware wallet.

What happens if you lose your Exodus?

If someone guesses your password for Exodus, it’s game over. They can move all of your crypto within minutes.

If someone gets hold of your 12 word pass phrase, they can “recover” your Exodus wallet on their own device. (This is also true of hardware wallets. If someone gets your pass phrase, they can restore your wallet onto their own.)

If you lose the computer you use Exodus on, you can recover it using your 12 word pass phrase.

Hardware wallets aren’t for everyone. Like I said at the beginning of this article, the Exodus people aren’t anyone to me.

I personally use Exodus and think it’s a top-tier wallet, and is the best software wallet available today.

A few question about events for those who don’t know me.

Although I have a major public profile, my core work is mindset, and it’s what I believe in. No one knows my actual political views, and I’ve said my only truth is Gorilla Mindset.

We keep my mindset seminars small, because mindset is serious work requiring personal attention. Everyone leaves these events transformed.

The party style events – the Deploraball, Bull Moose Party, and A Night for Freedom are fun and they are spectacles.

A Night for Freedom New York was compared to a Vegas style party.

Chelsea Manning showed up to A Night for Freedom NYC.

Multiple criminals were arrested for plotting to attack the Deploraball.

The mindset work is serious, the public events are fun.

A larger public event, A Night for Freedom, is currently being planned.

Watch the Video the Media Doesn’t Want You or Kanye to See

When Kanye West tweeted out 9 clips from a recent Scott Adams Periscope, the media didn’t do what it always doesn’t to: Not one journalist watched the video Kanye posted. Think about how significant that is. If Kanye posted 9 video clips, shouldn’t the story be: What was in the video?

But that is not how our media works. Journalists do not critique or respond to ideas. They character assassinate people they don’t like.

The media is terrified of what will happen if you watch this video.

Mental Prisons

Most of our problems are mental, not physical.

Scott Adams began talking about the Golden Age in an earlier video, where he said:

You have a country that is off-balance because we moved from a place where facts rule the world to where facts do not rule our world. We live in a non-factual, mostly-subjective world… Once you start realizing how much of an illusion we are all living in, you can start to deal with your reality with a better understanding of it.

We’re entering a period where our biggest problems are simply psychology, simply the way we recognize our reality and the way we deal with it. If we can just figure out how to be friends and how to work together in a positive way, we have an opportunity within the next 100 years to be something so special that it’s almost indescribable….We’re on the cusp of this, but we’re not there.

In the West, you’re not going to die from starvation, polio, or malaria. We live in a time of nearly limitless abundance. And yet people are angrier and more miserable than ever. People are imposing limitations on themselves in others by living in mental prisons.

Adams built on his idea of the Energy Shift in a video directed specially to Kanye – “Scott Adams tells you how Kanye showed the way to The Golden Age.”

One example of a mental prison is, according to Adams, “The false belief that history repeats is a mental prison.”

Another mental prison is “that the problem has to be the solution. It’s a prison if you think the only solutions are things that are closely related to the problem.” In American history, white people owned slaves, and thus the solution to slavery was for white people to stop owning slaves.

What can be done to combat racism today? Who can solve this problem?

“The last mile, no matter whose problem it is, can’t be solved by white people….Candace’s realization is that the problem and solution is disconnected….Only the people who have the problem can solve it.”

“Kanye knows history doesn’t repeat, he’s not a prison of the mind, he knows the problem is not the solution.”

 

 

“YOUR past is your future is a mental prison.”

If world history doesn’t repeat itself, why do you believe your past is your future?

Pay attention to those fake news articles about Scott Adams. How many of them address his current ideas? They dig up decades’ old material, which is then taken out of context.

  • Film star

Now look at this headline.

 

The media wants to hold Scott in the mental prison of the past. He won’t stay there, and neither will Kanye.

 

 

Now ask yourself: Who benefits most from having an outraged and angry population?

Scientific studies have shown that outraged-based articles in the media receive 3 times the traffic as honest articles. The media depends on clicks and eye balls to sell advertisements. Do they want people talking?

Advertisers solve mostly fake problems. Do advertisers want us talking to one another about solutions to human problems?

What would happen if Kanye and Candace led the way on racial issues? That would put a lot of professional outrage groups out of business.

Mental prisons are the biggest industry today.
