A whopping 40% of Americans feel that the media is a greater threat to America than white supremacists, according to a poll from Fox News released earlier this week.
According to Fox, the poll was conducted in partnership with Anderson Robbins Research and Shaw & Company Research. A random national sample of 1,006 voters were contacted via telephone.
When asked who, between white supremacists and the media, poses a greater threat to the country, 47% of those polled chose white supremacists while 40% chose the media.
Of the voters who responded to that question, the poll lists 42% as Democrat, 39% as Republican and 19% as Independent.
Of those who chose white supremacists as the greater threat, 80% voted for Clinton while 13% voted for Trump. On the flip side, of those who chose the media as the greater threat, 75% were Trump voters and 10% voted for Clinton.
Other notable points from the poll include 41% of respondents stating they approve of President Trump’s job in office so far while 55% stated they are unhappy.
Congress’ approval rating sits at a measly 15%, with 74% of respondents stating they disapprove while 11% stated they don’t know.
As Breitbart points out, this poll shared by Fox News is but the latest to indicate distrust of the media among American people.
A poll released in April indicated that 51% of Americans believe the media “is out of touch with everyday Americans.”
That same poll found that Americans trust President Trump’s White House more than the mainstream media.
